The Two Channel

A photograph can be captured what we are doing at that moment. In dance performance, photographs are usually used as one of the records showing part of the scenes, but not the completed movement.

In this video, I try to reverse the usual role of the photographs in performance. I use photographs from my improvisation as an input to make a choreography. The photos are connected in some rhythms. I try to find different possibilities in body movement between the three photographs. The two videos, one with three photographs and the moving one, show in parallel position at the same time.
