DANCE DANCE EVER! attempts to extract the elements of “play” from classic dance games, reassembling and transforming them into interactive installations and presents to the visitors, inviting them into the world of games. Without spectators, participants act as both players and observers at the same time, interacting with the installations while enjoying the designed audiovisual effects. With the presence of other visitors, the roles of spectator and player gradually shift, where the focus could potentially move from the installation to the players. In the playground of DANCE DANCE EVER!, there are no predetermined subjects or visuals to be watched; everyone can choose their part in the space, exploring the boundaries and relationships between observation and performance in person while experiencing how performativity exists in games.
